Cross Bars for Raised Factory Roof Rails

The 1450 Raised Roof Rail Cross Bars add two transverse mounting bars to compatible SUVs, 4WDs and wagons fitted with factory longitudinal rails that have a clear, usable gap underneath. The supplied mounting feet clamp around compatible raised rails.

Use them as a mounting base for compatible roof boxes, luggage carriers, bike or kayak carriers, awnings and other touring accessories, subject to the accessory mounting requirements and the verified load limits of the complete vehicle-and-rack system.

The 1,450 mm bar length is designed for wider touring vehicles when the rail profile and measurements match. Compatibility is determined by the actual roof-rail shape and dimensions—not the vehicle badge alone—so fitment must be confirmed before ordering.

Key Features

  • Raised-rail mounting feet: Designed to clamp around compatible factory rails with a clear gap underneath.
  • 1,450 mm cross-bar length: Designed for compatible roof rails measuring 1,200–1,400 mm outside-to-outside.
  • Low-profile bar: The 80 mm wide × 23 mm high profile provides a broad mounting surface without unnecessary height.
  • Accessory mounting channels: Longitudinal channels provide mounting points for compatible accessory hardware.
  • Black finish: A clean finish suited to common 4WD and SUV roof trim.

Is This the Correct Version?

Choose this product only when there is a clear, usable gap between the factory longitudinal rail and the vehicle roof, allowing the supplied mount to clamp around the rail.

If the factory rail sits directly against or very close to the roof with no usable gap underneath, choose the separate 1450 Flush Roof Rail Cross Bars instead.

Fitment Check Before Ordering

  1. Confirm that the vehicle has two longitudinal factory roof rails with a clear gap underneath.
  2. Measure outside edge to outside edge at both intended cross-bar positions. Each measurement must fall between 1,200 and 1,400 mm.
  3. Send us the vehicle year, make, model and trim, a full roof photo, a side-on rail close-up and both measurements for a fitment check.

This product is not intended for flush roof rails, bare roofs, rain gutters, fixed-point roofs without rails, or vehicles fitted only with factory crossbars. Roof-rail designs can vary by model year and trim grade.

Important Load Information

The 150 kg dynamic and 300 kg static ratings apply only to the cross bars and supplied mounting feet when correctly installed and the load is evenly distributed. They do not certify or increase the capacity of the vehicle roof, factory roof rails or fitted accessory.

The vehicle roof, factory rails, cross-bar system and fitted accessory each have their own limit. Never exceed the lowest applicable limit, and remember that the vehicle manufacturer’s roof limit normally includes the weight of the rack system. Check the vehicle handbook and confirm the factory rail capacity before loading. Follow any lower limit specified for off-road driving.
